 Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the holidays with us on Wednesday evening. A fun time was had by all and we’re so proud to be a part of such a wonderful community of lovely women who make us smile each and every day.

The entire staff was on hand for the event, including Rae, Dawn, Rose, Sherri, and Maryellen, and we enjoyed chatting with you and helping you look your best this holiday season. And yes, there was even snow falling right outside our door (thanks to Maryellen’s snow machine!).

Sophie's Circle Pet Food Pantry has distributed thousands of pounds of food to Volusia County animals, and their owners, who are in need over the last several years.

A pet owner facing financial hardship, being able to get assistance with feeding the animal, can be the difference between the pet ending up at a shelter or not. They want people and pets to stay together! And they can't do this without the kind donations from their supporters

It’s great that all the proceeds from the sale of their items on Wednesday evening went towards saving our furry friends and families in need. We loved partnering up with such a wonderful organization and hope that you will continue to support them also.

Make someone's holiday season a little brighter

 The Fashion Safari is pleased to announce that we are participating in this year's annual Toys for Tots fundraiser. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run charity composed of an amazing team of people who give their time and expertise to help bring the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children in our community.

You can drop off your new, unwrapped toys anytime during store hours. Don't forget that teens could use a little holiday cheer also, and it would be great if something were included for them. All donations need to be in by Tuesday, November 23rd. Thanks in advance for spreading the love and bringing a smile to a needy child.

Pay it Forward on April 28

 Pay it Forward Day, celebrated on April 28, is a worldwide effort being supported by people in more than 70 countries on 6 continents that encourages people to do good deeds for others without asking for anything in return except for the recipients to pay it forward to others in need.

Here are a few ideas to provide some inspiration:

1. Pay it Backward: buy coffee or food for the person behind you in line.
2. Compliment the first three people you talk to today.
3. Send a positive text message to five different people right now.
4. Tell someone they dropped a dollar (even though they didn’t). Then give them a dollar.
5. Donate old towels or blankets, or purchase extra dog or cat food, and bring it to an animal shelter.
6. Surprise a neighbor with freshly baked cookies or treats!
7. Leave a kind server the biggest tip you can afford.
8. Put 50 paper hearts in a box. On each cutout write something that is special about your partner or a friend. Give them the box and tell them to pull out a heart anytime they need a pick-me-up.
9. Find opportunities to give compliments. It costs nothing, takes no time, and could make someone’s entire day. Don’t just think it. Say it.
10. When you hear that discouraging voice in your head, tell yourself something positive — you deserve kindness too!
