Food Drive to Benefit the Homeless

 Many women and children in our community live in poverty, and as a result, they struggle to afford necessities such as food and housing. As prices have risen on most everything, including food, it's been a challenge for them just to make it through another day.

From now until March 29th, the Fashion Safari will serve as a drop off location for a Food Drive to benefit the homeless. Frog Ministries in Edgewater, who serves so many homeless in our community, will distribute the donations.

Primary needs are peanut butter, jelly, cans of soup with meat, cans/pouches of seasoned chicken and tuna. Small portions are best as they often have to carry these items long distances on foot or bicycle. There are no kitchens or storage options for them, so non-perishable, ready-to-eat foods are their only option.

There will be a drop-off box located in the store. Any non-perishable food donation, no matter how large or small, is sincerely appreciated.

Now Accepting Spring Fashions

 

Our calendar is quickly filling up with appointments for consignment. We're so pleased that you want to consign your previously-loved fashions and we have a few reminders before you pack those items up to bring them in. We're are now accepting "Spring" fashions only and have plenty of winter items to get us through the season. We're looking for lightweight tops, shorts, capris, skirts, sandals, and Spring handbags. Long sleeve tops are okay as long as they are thin material. Keep in mind that "tops" are our best sellers.  Please be aware that consignments are accepted by appointment only and your items must be in pristine condition, current styles, freshly laundered, free of wrinkles, and on hangers. Make someone's holiday season a little brighter

 The Fashion Safari is pleased to announce that we are participating in this year's annual Toys for Tots fundraiser. The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run charity composed of an amazing team of people who give their time and expertise to help bring the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children in our community.

You can drop off your new, unwrapped toys anytime during store hours. Don't forget that teens could use a little holiday cheer also, and it would be great if something were included for them. All donations need to be in by Tuesday, November 23rd. Thanks in advance for spreading the love and bringing a smile to a needy child.
